Mushroom Grow Kit Block

 

1. PEEL- Beneath the label on the front of your kit is a hole in the shape of an X that was incised sterilely into the bag. Without touching or contaminating the hole, peel the entire label off, exposing the block to oxygen. This is where the mushrooms will grow from.

2. SPRAY- Place your kit on a plate or towel, in a clean area, in ambient lighting within the suggested temperature range stated on the label. Spray the X with water 2-3 times daily until you are ready to harvest.

3. GROW- Wait up to 6 weeks and watch your mushrooms grow! Harvest Oysters and Chestnuts prior to caps flattening out. Harvest Lion’s Mane prior to yellowing. Cook thoroughly. Enjoy!

*To increase your chances of getting a second and even a third flush, remove any remaining pins or mushrooms. Make sure there is no mold or contamination and begin again at step 2. Mushrooms should continue to grow out of the same hole. Be patient!
